Active Membership
Being an active member in the Society and Genetics Undergraduate Organization has many perks. We offer opportunities to become more involved with the UCLA Institute for Society and Genetics, including special events with ISG staff and faculty where students may foster more personal relationships than the classroom setting allows for.

To be an active member, you must attend 80% of meetings, events, and socials per quarter!

Membership Requirements​
​
To achieve recognition as an Active Committee Member of SGUO, you must apply to be a committee member, attend all committee events per academic year, and attend 80% of all meetings each quarter.
​
To achieve recognition as a Active Committee Director of SGUO, you must apply to be a committee director, attend all meetings, lead all of your committee meetings, and plan and attend all events each quarter.
​
End of the Year Awards
Active 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year members will receive special SGUO pins at our end
of the year banquet.
​
Active 4th year members will also receive graduation cords.
