Active Mentorship

The SGUO Mentorship Program provides academic, social, and professional guidance to students interested in science and society.

Underclassmen mentees will be paired with upperclassmen mentors then pairs will be grouped into families to create a unique safe space where UCLA undergraduates support each other through the various aspects of college life.

Mentees receive insight and information about class scheduling, professors, extracurriculars, career planning, and other elements of life from mentors who have been in their shoes. In return, mentors gain companionship and an opportunity to give back to the UCLA student community. Mentors receive preferential consideration for committee placement and other perks from SGUO.

The mentor application is due Friday, October 4th, at 11:59PM. Mentors are expected to commit to a full academic year of responsibility.

If you are interested in becoming a mentee, please fill out the mentee application section of SGUO's membership application due Friday, October 11th, at 11:59PM

After filling out the form, you will be paired with a mentor and assigned to a family. The mentorship reveal and social will be the following week. Further details will be released to those who apply to the program.
